Security Monitoring Specialist (Remote / Afternoon Shift)

Role Summary
- The Security Monitoring Specialist (SMS) is a junior role in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
- Defend customers and infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Handle escalated alerts and perform investigations.
- Work with Customer Support and Security Engineers.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts, logs, and events.
- Analyze logs using SIEM, EDR, WAF.
- Respond to incidents with customers.
- Document investigations and remediation.
- Escalate complex incidents.
- Communicate with clients.
- Improve SOC processes.
Required
- Engineering degree or similar.
- Network and protocol knowledge.
- Security architecture understanding.
- Familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, WAF.
- Advanced English and Spanish.
- Analytical and communication skills.
Nice to have
- OS knowledge (Windows, Linux, OSX).
- Cybersecurity experience.
- Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of cyber kill chain, TTPs.
- Certifications (Security+, GSEC…).
