Role Summary
Professionals at Ackcent Cybersecurity have a common goal: to improve the security of our customers protecting their assets from cyber threats. In this position, you will work with our security specialists to automate and streamline processes and operations to better protect our clients.
We are looking for engineers with a strong desire for continual learning who love problem-solving. As a key member of a small and versatile team, you will take on new problems as we continue to push security forward.
The position is based in Spain. Possibility to work remotely from any region of Spain.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
- Manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Take on tasks as requested, following through to completion despite roadblocks or distractions

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Computer/Telecommunications Engineering degree or a related discipline, or equivalent foundations
- Strong experience in software development through hands-on coding in a general-purpose programming language
- Experience in Git and modern software development tools and methodologies
- Competence in scripting (e.g., python, ruby, perl, bash, PowerShell, )
- Comfort and familiarity working with APIs
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team member
Ideal qualifications
- Experience applying Agile methodologies to manage the software development process
- Proficient in understanding Operating Systems and their architectures: Windows, Unix/Linux, and OSX Operating Systems
- Strong technical understanding of network fundamentals and common Internet protocols
- Good understanding of Cybersecurity landscape: Cyber kill chain, TTP, threat intelligence, malware business
- Good understanding of information security concepts: threat modeling, defense in depth, data loss protection, risk assessment, and security metrics
- Good understanding of a cloud computing environment
- Examples of coding in one of the following programming languages including but not limited to: python, bash, PowerShell, go, c, c++, java, or javascript
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
- Strong communication and presentation skills along with the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
- Exhibits initiative, follow-up and follow through with commitments

- Related certifications in the information security and/or software development field
- Experience working with AWS
- Experience in serverless architecture
